“”Graduating seniors from Logan High School took part in the school’s annual Senior March at Northside Elementary School today.
To the sounds of Pomp and Circumstance, the Logan students walked the halls of Northside Elementary dressed in caps and gowns. The seniors carried signs listing their plans for after graduation. The elementary students lined the hallways of the school and made a path to the gym for the procession. The younger students were able to cheer on the soon to be graduates as they make their way through Northside.
“We want our elementary students to be excited about the future and the possibilities it holds,” said Northside Elementary Principal Laura Huber. “High school seems like a long time away for most of these children. Getting to see our district’s graduates gives our younger students a glimpse forward, to what they can accomplish.”
“The Senior March gives our graduating students an opportunity to be role models,” said Logan High School Principal Deb Kollross. “This event will celebrate Logan High School’s graduating seniors but also inspire Northside Elementary students and motivate them to work hard and stay in school.”
The La Crosse Public Education Foundation provided ice cream for all of the students and staff after the march.
The two schools plan to continue the annual event.””””[vc_gallery type=”flexslider_slide” interval=”0″ images=”12037,12032,12033,12036,12039,12034,12042,12035,12041,12043,12044,12045,12046,12047″ img_size=”625×417″]””
